What If This Is Your Turning Point?
A transformational week is upon us! Astrologically speaking, we have never seen a configuration like this one. It’s called Barbault’s Basket, and basically there are five planets aligning in a harmonious way. Barbault, the astrologer credited with recognizing this particular alignment, said July 19-22, 2026 would be the turning point toward rebuilding after the destruction of the past several years. Humanity will now begin to shift into an era of innovation, cooperation, and expansion.
If you'd like more information about the Basket and how to harness its energy for personal transformation, I recommend Pam Gregory on YouTube. You can also search for Barbault's Basket and find hundreds of articles on the subject.
Transformation is part of the human experience, but we often fear sudden or groundbreaking change. This fear can hold us back from taking the necessary steps to move forward in our lives. Our nervous systems can also become overloaded making change too overwhelming. This is why having tools for transformation matters.
Fear and nervous system dysregulation can cause us to fight, flee, freeze, or fawn. All are natural, very human ways of dealing with the stress of change. However, in order to continue moving toward a life of peace, joy, and/or fulfillment, we need a system for dealing with stress and change in a healthy way.
In my humble opinion, yoga is one of the best systems for transformation. Here are a few of the reasons:
Yoga helps regulate our nervous system. Certain poses create measurable physiological responses that are repeatable over time.
Meditation gives us the ability to recognize the thoughts running through the mind and discern if they deserve attention.
Yoga philosophy teaches us how to reduce suffering through the Yamas and the Niyamas. In short, the Yamas are things not to do, the Niyamas are things to do. The Yamas include non-harming and non-excess, while the Niyamas include contentment and self-discipline.
Regular practice offers a container for exploration into who we are. Committing to time on the mat ensures we regularly examine what’s happening both in the body and the mind.
Regular practice also helps us to be grounded, both in our personal life and in our actual body.
Yoga allows us an intimate connection to our body. Everything in the human life comes through the physical body. We can only hold what the body and brain can manage. When we expand our capacity in both, our lives can continue to grow.
So, if you love the idea of transformation, if you've been craving change, or a new way of interacting with the world, I ask: What are you doing to make that transformation happen? If you’re just sitting back hoping, you’re still in dream space. And while dreaming can be a helpful first step, eventually you have to take action.
The action doesn’t have to come in the form of yoga and meditation, but if yoga is of interest, then I encourage you to begin practicing. I offer grounded, soulful yoga classes twice a week. Simply send me a note if you’d like to join us live on Zoom any Monday or Thursday morning. You can choose the price. I’ll send you the details once I receive your note of interest.
For maximum ease, you can check out the Class of the Month. It’s available for instant download in my store.
Wishing you a happy transformation!
