Yoga for Your Type

We’ve all been there, and maybe we are there still. Quietly suffering. Recognizing something’s got to change, but not sure where to begin. I was there. I was irritable, my thoughts were overwhelming at times, I was too often hyper-focused and competitive (even with myself during yoga practice). Then I read a book by David Frawley called Yoga for Your Type. It was my first introduction to Ayurveda, and it helped me in innumerable ways. First, I learned I was very much Pitta dosha, full of fire and sometimes fury. This information gave me pause, and a craving to learn more.

As I began to understand and befriend my dosha, I started to live more skillfully within my natural tendencies. I could more easily recognize when I moved out of balance, and I began to tweak my yoga practice to offer my mind, body and spirit more support.

Many years later, I am still experimenting within my practice, and reaping the benefits. I’ve learned so much about the awesome effects of Ayurvedic-based Yoga that I want to share with you! I believe with a basic understanding of Ayurveda anyone can transform his/her/their yoga practice to create ease and balance.
